Propel Licence
What you can do with Propel: seats, client work, white-label handover, code use, AI assistants and what no licence allows.
Version 1.1 · Effective 29 October 2026
This licence covers everything sold or given away under the Propel name. "We", "us" and "Propel" mean Propel, a business based in India. "You" means the person or organisation that bought or downloaded the Product. If you buy for an organisation, you confirm you can accept this licence on its behalf.

1. Definitions
- Product: everything you receive under the Propel name, including the Propel UI Kit Figma files and the free sample file, the Propel skill pack (Markdown and JSON files), the Propel token package (CSS, Tailwind, shadcn and JSON files), the
@thepropel/reactcomponent package, the Code Connect files, the Propel Code plugin, documentation and all updates. It also includes anything you make by modifying these. - End Product: a website, application, software product, prototype, presentation or marketing asset that you design or build using the Product, for yourself, your employer or a Client. Its value must come mainly from your own work and content, not from the Product itself, and it must not let anyone extract and reuse the Product's original files, assets or code. A UI kit, template, theme, design system, component library or AI skill offered to others is never an End Product.
- Seat: one named individual. A seat cannot be shared or rotated between people. You may move a seat to a new person when someone leaves your team.
- Client: a person or organisation, other than you or your employer, for whom you create an End Product.
2. What every licence lets you do
Within the limits of your tier, you may:
- Use the Product to design and build an unlimited number of End Products, commercial ones included.
- Modify, rebrand and restyle the Product, including removing the Propel name from your End Products. No attribution is required.
- Keep copies of the Product in private storage that only your licensed seats can open, such as your Figma team, drive or private code repository.
- Give the Product's files, including the skill pack and manifest, to an AI assistant such as Claude as working context, so it can design or build your End Products.
3. What each tier adds
Free sample. One person may use the sample file and the mini skill pack in End Products, including End Products for Clients, as described in section 2. The token, React and Code Connect files are not included.
Design. One seat may use the full Figma kit, skill pack and token package to create End Products for yourself, your employer or your Clients.
Working for Clients. On every tier, you may deliver the finished End Product to a Client, including its screens, prototypes, exported assets and built code. You may not give a Client, or anyone else without their own licence, editable copies of the Product itself, such as Figma files that contain the kit's components or the token and component source as a separate library. If a Client needs to keep editing the design in Figma with Propel's components, the Client needs its own licence, or you need Team / Agency for a white-label handover.
Design + Code. Everything in Design, plus the @thepropel/react package, the Code Connect files and the Propel Code plugin, for one seat per licence. Every developer who works directly with the React package needs a seat. You may compile the components into End Products and keep their source code in the End Product's repository, including a public repository, as long as the components are part of the application and not offered as a standalone library or package.
Team / Agency. Everything in Design + Code for up to 5 seats within one organisation. In addition:
- You may publish the Product as a shared library in your organisation's Figma team, so every seat works from one source.
- White-label handover. As part of a Client project, you may deliver a design system derived from the Product to that Client, for example a rebranded copy of the Figma kit or the React package with your changes. The Client may use it only to make and maintain its own End Products, under the same restrictions as this licence. The Client may not pass it on to anyone else. You must keep a record of each handover and give it to us if we ask.
- You may send us requests for new flows. We will prioritise them, but we do not guarantee to build them.
Extra seats can be bought at any time. A licence for one organisation cannot be used by a parent company, subsidiary or other company in the same group without its own licence.
4. What no licence allows
You may not:
- Sell, rent, sublicense, share, give away or publish the Product or any part of it, modified or not, except inside an End Product or through a white-label handover under section 3.
- Create or contribute to a product that competes with Propel, in whole or in part. This includes UI kits, templates, themes, design systems, component libraries, icon sets, Figma Community files, plugins, AI skills or prompt packs, and UI or code generators that include, reproduce or are derived from the Product.
- Upload the Product's source files to a public place where others can download them. This includes Figma Community, public repositories as a standalone kit or library, marketplaces and file-sharing sites.
- Use the Product, or outputs that reproduce it, to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning model, or include it in a dataset. Using the Product as working context for your own AI assistant under section 2.4 is allowed.
- Use the Product in a tool that lets your users or customers build their own interfaces, themes or sites from it, such as a website builder or theme generator, unless that tool is only used inside your organisation.
- Share one seat between people, or use the Product with more people than you have seats for.
- Remove or hide licence notices from the Product's source files, or claim that you wrote them.
- Use the Propel name or logo to suggest that we endorse or made your End Product.
5. Updates
Your licence includes every 1.x release of the Product you bought, delivered through the same channel as your purchase. We may offer a future major version (2.0 and up) as a paid upgrade, with a discount for existing licences. Earlier versions you received stay licensed to you.
6. Ownership
We keep all rights, title and copyright in the Product. This licence does not transfer ownership. You own your End Products, apart from the parts of the Product inside them, which stay licensed to you under these terms.
7. Third-party material
- Fonts. The kit uses Instrument Sans and IBM Plex Mono, which are licensed separately under the SIL Open Font License.
- Trademarks. Figma and Claude are trademarks of their owners. Propel is not affiliated with or endorsed by Figma, Inc. or Anthropic.
- Website photos. Photos shown on thepropel.co are marketing images from Pexels. They are not part of the Product and are not licensed to you through it.
- Placeholder content. Names, companies and figures in the templates are made up. Any resemblance to real people or companies is a coincidence.
8. Accessibility and fitness
Our accessibility record describes the Product as we ship it, tested as stated on thepropel.co/accessibility. Whether your End Product conforms to WCAG or any accessibility law depends on how you use the Product. It remains your responsibility.
9. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, you must stop using the Product and delete your copies. End Products that you published, in compliance with this licence, before it ended may stay in use. Refunds are covered by our Terms of Sale; a refunded licence ends on the date of the refund.
10. No warranty
The Product is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it is error-free or that it meets your requirements.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability under this licence is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. General
- This licence is governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
- If any part of this licence cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- We may update this licence for future purchases. The version you accepted applies to your purchase.
